The characters within the project was initially storyboarded/illustrated in a more rough sketch-like style by another illustrator. However, in the end, the designs were not used as they were not fully optimised for animating in AE. The client also wanted to the characters to be more local to represent the Sun Life office branch in Hong Kong.

Working closely with the senior designer, the designs were finalised with a more round and simplistic shape that is more tuned for animating.
